MANILA, Philippines — The fall of an elevator in a 38-story building in Gil Puyat, Makati City, early on Friday morning resulted in two deaths and two injuries.
The victims were identified as elevator technicians Rey Miguel Gilera and Manuel Linayao by the Southern Police District.
According to the Southern Police District’s investigation, an elevator that was being repaired on the sixth floor struck and killed Gilera and Linayao when it descended from the 38th story to the building’s basement.
